Welcome to the start of 2026! As we kick off the new year, it's both exciting and somewhat surreal to reflect on how swiftly time has passed. After a four-week break, which, as any mom might understand, didn't quite feel like a vacation, I find myself eagerly stepping back into the rhythm of work. The past weeks were filled with family, personal challenges, and crucial strategic planning for the year ahead.

Personal Reflections and Intentions

The holidays were a mix of delights and challenges. My daughter Abby underwent surgery to remove her tonsils and adenoids, which led to two intense weeks of recovery. It wasn't the year-end I imagined, but seeing Abby's improvements, especially in her speech, has been rewarding. Even though sleep remains elusive, I'm hopeful for progress.

Amid these personal moments, I've had time to think deeply about my intentions for 2026. Inspired by advice shared in a mastermind years ago, I choose a word or intention for the year. Last year was about simplicity. This year, I'm focusing on prioritizing my health, mental well-being, and rediscovering hobbies I once loved before motherhood took precedence.

Setting the Year’s Foundation

With Abby back in daycare, it's time to reclaim some structure in our routine. This pause has allowed me to visualize 2026 with clarity. An essential aspect of my strategy involves mapping out launches and setting achievable goals. The number one focus is nurturing and expanding the Conversion Club membership, which offers support through launches, funnel diagnostics, and expert master classes.

Transformative Business Decisions

For 2026, a pivotal change involved shifting my platform to Ivory (formerly known as Go High Level). This transition was primarily driven by finances and functionality. I anticipate a smoother, more integrated experience, complete with enhanced community interaction outside of traditional social media channels.

What's Out for 2026

I've identified significant practices that no longer serve my business well:

1. Facebook Group Communities: Engagement within these groups is dwindling. Moving interaction over to Ivory's community platform feels more fitting.

2. Social Media Dependence: This year, I’m reducing reliance on social media for growth, preferring collaborations and in-person events.

3. Overcomplicated Funnels: Simplicity in funnel creation is key. The focus is on streamlined, effective conversions rather than intricate tiers that can overwhelm.

4. Audience-Less Offers: This year, audience feedback will guide new offer creation. Understanding needs is paramount.

5. AI Video Bots: While supportive of AI in many aspects, I choose authenticity for interactions, ensuring it's my voice behind the camera.

Embracing 2026: What's In

Conversely, several core areas will receive focus this year:

1. Nurtured Email Lists: Crafting weekly emails that resonate personally with my audience is a priority.

2. Repeatable Launches: By refining successful launches, I aim for efficiency and scalability, avoiding the 'shiny object’ syndrome.

3. Comprehensive Ads Strategy: Ads will not just support launches but will also aid in year-round growth through evergreen campaigns.

4. Engaging New Followers: Using ManyChat, I plan to cultivate deeper connections with followers through automated welcoming and offers.

5. Flowing Content Creation: By embracing spontaneity and using tools to facilitate creative processes, I am aiming for seamless content delivery.
